Dupaco Foundation Awards $250,000 in Grants to Nonprofit Organizations

DUBUQUE, Iowa – In the inaugural year of the annual Nonprofit Grant Program, the Dupaco Foundation awarded $250,000 in grants to support 29 nonprofit organizations in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin.

The support provided through the Nonprofit Grant Program will make a direct impact on affordable housing and homeownership, small business development or upskilling and reskilling–which are the foundation’s three community areas of focus.

The foundation board reviewed 108 applications from nonprofit organizations. Proposals were measured on several factors, including program alignment with the foundation’s areas of community focus, how the plan addressed the need, potential for outcomes and impact and more.

“The foundation board is inspired by the work being done by all the organizations that applied for this grant, many of which are working with limited resources,” said Joe Hearn, Dupaco Foundation Secretary and President/CEO of Dupaco Community Credit Union. “We are thrilled to support these 29 nonprofit organizations and the services they provide and look forward to helping them reach their goals to impact people and strengthen our communities.”
