Affinity Credit Union Announces $9,000 in Scholarship Funds

March 21, 2022

Since 1995, Affinity Credit Union has committed to giving back to its communities and supporting students in achieving their dreams of higher education through its scholarship program. This year, Affinity Credit Union is proud to partner with three local high schools, Des Moines North, Des Moines Lincoln, and Saydel to award $9,000 in scholarship funds.

“Managing the cost of higher education can pose significant challenges to many students and their families.” “Investing in our future leaders through our annual Affinity Credit Union Scholarship Program represents our commitment for higher education as we help defray the cost of paying for college.” said, Jim Dean, CEO.

Affinity Credit Union’s Scholarship Program recognizes the value and importance of education and supports students working towards a goal after high school. Six separate $1,500 scholarships will be presented to eligible students looking to attend a trade school, as well as those seeking education at a 2-year community college or 4-year public or private university. Since the creation of the program, Affinity Credit Union has awarded more than $36,000 in scholarships.
