Citizens Community Credit Union Announces 2025 Scholarship Recipients

FORT DODGE, Iowa – Citizens Community Credit Union is pleased to announce the winners of our 2025 scholarships. Each year, Citizens awards two $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors that are members of the credit union. The winners are determined by a panel of judges based on involvement, community service, work experience and an essay. Entrants are asked to write an essay of 500 words or less on the following topic: “People Helping People” is a common theme in the credit union movement. As you move into adulthood, how do you intend to incorporate this philosophy into your life?
Congratulations to this year’s two winners that were chosen from nearly two dozen applicants:
Cara Schiltz, of Estherville, is the daughter of Chris and Shannon Schiltz. Cara is a senior at Estherville Lincoln Central High School and plans to attend Iowa State University in the fall.
Isabella Waechter, of Livermore, is the daughter of David and Cheri Waechter. She is a senior at Bishop Garrigan High School in Algona and will be continuing her education at the University of Iowa this fall.
