Corda Credit Union Pledges $25,000 to the Westside Library Capital Campaign

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA, October 18, 2024 – Corda Credit Union has pledged to contribute $25,000 to the Cedar Rapids Public Library as part of Inspiring Big Dreams capital campaign for the Westside Library.

According to the Cedar Rapids Public Library’s website, “the new Westside Library will be a conveniently located community hub designed to support the growing needs of the region. The new library will include more space for children's programming, books, public computers, community meeting spaces, and study rooms.” The Westside Library is slated to open in the fall of 2026.

Corda Credit Union will be the sponsor of the Young Adult computer area. The financial cooperative has a longstanding relationship with the Cedar Rapids Public Library, having given $12,000 through donation and program sponsorships since 2016.

“We are so excited to be a part of bringing a spacious, accessible new library to Cedar Rapids’ west side neighborhoods,” said Paula O’Rourke, President and CEO of Corda Credit Union. “Corda Credit Union is committed to building up our communities and serving our members.”
