Dupaco Launches New Grant Program to Boost Nonprofit Innovation

October 4, 2024

Nonprofit organizations have an opportunity to expand and enhance the impact of their mission through a focus on innovation, thanks to a brand-new grant from Dupaco Credit Union, in partnership with The Innovation Lab.

The Gift of Innovation grant program will award a variety of innovation sessions, up to a value of $40,000, from half-day sessions to a full year of capacity building services. The team will work with grant recipients to determine the appropriate session for their needs.

“Nonprofits face challenges just like any business, and innovation is essential for them to flourish,” said Joe Hearn, President and CEO of Dupaco Credit Union. “As a not-for-profit, mission-driven organization, Dupaco is proud to offer this grant to help nonprofits grow, succeed, and impact the people they serve. Our long-term vision is to create a brighter community for all, and supporting nonprofits is one way to achieve that vision.”

This grant is intended to address resource constraints which may limit a nonprofit organization from realizing its full potential. Through the innovation sessions, nonprofits can receive support such as creating product or process solutions, strategic planning support or implementation, and business model or financial sustainability improvements.

“We tailor the session to the needs of the nonprofit,” explained Eric Dregne, Director of The Innovation Lab. “At a minimum, grant recipients can expect to walk away with two to three highly actionable strategies to boost their operations and capacity.”

Dupaco will host a webinar on Wednesday, October 16, 12 – 1 p.m., for nonprofits to learn more about the grant program and innovation sessions. Registration is required at dupaco.com/ways-we-give.

Grant applications are being accepted now through November 15, 2024. Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) public charity and reside and operate in Dupaco’s charter area. Full eligibility information and all the grant details are available at dupaco.com/ways-we-give
