Greater Iowa Credit Union Unveils New Brand Identity

AMES, Iowa – Greater Iowa Credit Union announced a new logo reflecting the credit union’s redefined strategy focused on the future of banking.  The timing of the change aligns with a significant transformation that has been taking place throughout the organization over the last few years.  The new brand identity embodies the renewed sense of purpose of all its employees.

“How people use and access their money has changed dramatically in recent years,” says Scott Zahnle, CEO at GICU.  “GICU has been a leader in the financial services industry.  We constantly have our eye on the evolving needs of our communities and we needed to have a visual representation of that.”

The new look and feel represents a commitment to GICU’s purpose of creating greater futures for everyone in the community. As the organization continues to look ahead, creating a strong brand while ensuring the new identity matches the innovative, human-centered credit union GICU is actively becoming is essential.

 “The Greater Iowa Credit Union brand refresh creates a greater visual foundation for the GICU brand,” says Cari Wasmund, Creative Marketing Manager at GICU.  “It gives us the consistency and recognition we need to distinguish ourselves in the market.

The new branding was announced at a GICU member event on November 5th and will be rolled out online and in its nine branches in the coming weeks.
