Telco Triad CCU Awarded Juntos Avanzamos Designation

July 31, 2023

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Juntos Avanzamos (“Together We Advance”) is a designation for credit unions committed to serving and empowering Hispanic and immigrant consumers – helping them navigate the U.S. financial system and providing safe, affordable, and relevant financial services. Juntos Avanzamos credit unions employ bilingual, culturally-competent staff and leadership, accept alternative forms of ID, and treat all their members with respect, regardless of immigration status.

“We welcome Telco Triad to an effort that is now more important than ever. This Juntos Avanzamos designation recognizes the groundbreaking work you, and your team have done to meet the needs of low-income consumers in general, and of the Hispanic community. This is what financial inclusion is all about, and you are leading the way,” stated Inclusiv Director Rene A. Vargas Martinez. Telco Triad is the first credit union within Northwest Iowa to receive this designation. Telco Triad is one of – total Iowa credit unions with this designation.

Telco Triad will be hosting a ribbon-cutting/flag raising event this September. (Date TBD) This will be a community-wide event with local, regional dignitaries along with an Inclusiv representative.

Telco Triad Community Credit Union was established in 1945 and serves over 15,000 members from 30 counties in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. With six total locations in Sioux City, Spencer and Denison, Telco Triad’s assets total over $140 million. For more information visit telcotriad.org.
