Veridian’s Relocated Prairie Trail Branch is Now Open in Ankeny

July 24, 2024

ANKENY, Iowa (July 23, 2024) – Veridian Credit Union has relocated its Prairie Trail branch from inside Ankeny’s Prairie Trail Hy-Vee store to a newly constructed stand-alone branch at 2115 SW State St. Today is the new branch’s opening day after the previous location closed permanently on July 21.

“We have a long history of partnering with Hy-Vee for in-store Veridian branch locations, and we’re grateful for that partnership,” said Shelly McGill, Veridian’s central Iowa regional manager. “Shifting our Prairie Trail branch to a stand-alone location allows us to add drive-up access and more interior space to provide an improved member experience."

The new branch is 3,422 square feet, compared to the 400-sq.-ft. branch previously located inside the Hy-Vee store, offering additional lobby and office space for business and consumer lending. It also offers drive-up access with four exterior lanes, including one for an ATM. Veridian has ten branches in the greater Des Moines metro area, including two inside Hy-Vee stores on North Ankeny Boulevard in Ankeny and at the intersection of SE 14th Street and Park Avenue in Des Moines.

To celebrate the newly relocated Prairie Trail branch, Veridian is offering a chance to win a $25 gift card to a Prairie Trail business now through August 4.

Veridian Credit Union, founded in 1934 in Waterloo, Iowa, is a financial cooperative owned by the people who use its products and services - its members. The credit union offers a full range of business and consumer financial services with more than 1,000 employees and 32 branches across Iowa and eastern Nebraska, including 10 in the Des Moines metro area.
